The client is seeking an Imaging Service Engineer I for an opportunity with PIH Health – Good Samaritan located in Los Angeles, CA.
Imaging Service Engineer I Position Description:
This person will inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate basic diagnostic imaging equipment, devices, system, and instruments. Interact on a routine basis with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems. Participate in on-the-job training programs regarding technical, administrative, and customer service requirements.
The Imaging Service Engineer I will possess:
- Minimum of 2+ years of imaging experience (preferably radio frequency, X-ray portables, ultrasound, etc.)
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices.
- Ability to complete preventative & corrective maintenance on medical devices with limited supervision.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills
- Schedule availability to participate in on-call rotation schedule as required.
Technical Duties and Responsibilities of Imaging Service Engineer I:
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and tools, basic networking theory, and safety precautions when servicing high voltages and working with ionizing radiation.
- Analyze electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical equipment.
- Isolate, test, and replace defective parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibration, and tests.
- Run diagnostic programs.
The role will focus on customer needs and ensure all HTM-related functions are completed in a quality and timely manner including medical device preventive and corrective maintenance and other related matters. The ideal candidate will have experience and training in the biomedical equipment role/field and the capability to serve a wide variety of customer needs.

Qualifications:
- Basic Education Requirement – Associate’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to proficiency in the maintenance and repair of imaging equipment within a healthcare environment.
- Basic Functional Experience – 3 years of experience within a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for the maintenance and repair of clinical devices and/or 1 year of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry-level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training.
